In September 2012, the amount of cow’s milk collected from agricultural holdings and collection centers by processing units decreased both compared to the previous month and compared to September 2011 by 9.3% and 10.4%, respectively. In the period 1.I – 30.IX.2012 compared to the period 1.I – 30.IX.2011, the quantity of cow’s milk collected from agricultural holdings and collection centers by the processing units increased by 0.5%.

September 2012 compared to August 2012

In September 2012, compared to the previous month, the amount of cow’s milk collected by the processing units decreased by 7003 tons (-9.3%).

Among the main dairy products, the largest decrease in production in September 2012 compared to August 2012 took place in cheeses including cheese obtained exclusively from cow’s milk (86.9% of total cheese production) by 734 tons (-12, 4%), followed by sour milk (yogurt, drinking yogurt, whipped milk and others) with 298 tons (-2.3%) and sour cream with 29 tons (-0.7%).

Increases in production in September 2012 compared to September 2011 took place in: sour milk (yogurt, drinking yogurt, whipped milk and others) with 397 tons (+ 3.2%) and cheeses including cheese obtained exclusively from milk cow with 106 tons (+ 2.1%).
